1. This standard specifies the product classification, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage of electric scooters. This standard is applicable to electric scooters and electric assist bicycles for non-motorized roads that use battery as the power source and are driven by DC motors for adult leisure, entertainment and transportation.

2. Braking performance: When the electric scooter is riding at the highest speed for electric uniform speed, the dry braking distance should be no more than 4m, and the wet braking distance should be no more than 15m.

3. Electrical installation: The electrical system of the electric scooter should be installed in place with correct polarity. The wiring device of the system should meet the requirements of 6.2.8.1 of GB17761-1999. The electrical wiring should be adapted to the current amount to ensure electric riding.
